I work with children and teens in the Pittsburgh area who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, or emotions that feel hard to manage in daily life. Caregivers often describe feeling stuck in the same difficult moments, even after trying multiple strategies, and unsure how to move forward.
In sessions, I help children slow down and notice what they’re feeling in those challenging moments. We focus on building and practicing more manageable ways to respond. I also help caregivers understand what’s underneath these moments so they can feel more confident and less reactive at home.
I provide play-based therapy for children and teens focused on emotional regulation and understanding how emotions show up in the body. Sessions are child-led and relationship-based, with connection as the starting point. Caregiver support is included when helpful so everyone feels more grounded in the family relationship.
By the time families reach out, they’ve often already tried a lot of different strategies and still feel stuck at home. In sessions, children don’t have to “get it right.” We focus on understanding big emotions and building skills that carry into daily life. I also help caregivers feel more steady and confident in how they respond to challenges.
