I work from a collaborative and strengths-based approach to help individuals reduce their suffering and reconnect with their values. I treat a variety of problems including addictions, anxiety/trauma, & depression. I also work with family members of loved ones with addiction and teach family members practical and empowering skills to help their addicted loved ones and themselves. I use evidence-based treatments and draw heavily from cognitive-behavioral treatments, particularly newer cognitive-behavioral therapies such as Functional Analytic Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
While I am committed to using evidence-based therapies, I believe in tailoring treatment to best meet the needs and strengths of the individual. My approach emphasizes the development of a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship to facilitate client growth in multiple life domains, particularly in interpersonal relationships.
My practice of therapy is guided by my compassion for my clients, my belief in their resiliency, and my commitment to help them use their strengths to create meaningful and value-guided lives. Depending on the goals and needs of the client, I can provide structured, brief, or long-term therapies. Please note that I am not accepting new clients at this time.
