Hello, my name is Christee Rivas, LMFT. My focus area is to support and help individuals get back on track with their ability to manage emotions and invest in themselves. I work with a lot of teenagers, women, and single adults who suffer from Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Family Conflict, Life Coaching, Parenting, Peer Relationships, Relationship Issues, School Issues, Self-esteem, Self-Harming, Sports Performance, Stress, Suicidal Ideation, Trauma and PTSD, Women's Issues, Adolescents/Teens, and Impulsivity.
The most common approach I use is client-centered. I want to know what you want to change and what you are willing to apply in your day-to-day functioning. I also use Cognitive Behavioral approaches, Narrative, Solution Focus, and DBT approaches it really depends on your needs and what will best suit you.
My communication style encourages a judgment-free zone. I am easy to talk to and will listen and laugh with you. I will first ask what goals are you striving to achieve, as sessions occur and notice something along the way, I will discuss it with you.
