Through a strong belief in the therapeutic relationship, I maintain unconditional acceptance of my clients while guiding them in the changes they desire. I provide psychotherapy to adults who struggle with intense emotions and self defeating or impulsive behaviors. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients improve their overall quality of life and well-being by increasing their ability to regulate intense emotions, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal effectiveness and increase mindfulness.
My empathy and desire to help people struggling with life issues led me to pursue a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy through Behavioral Tech. I am an approved clinical supervisor through the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners.
