My worldview and psychotherapeutic aim is heartful benevolence, and I uphold the innate worth and dignity of all people. I welcome you to the journey home to your authentic self. Many clients come to me with suffering around patterns of anxiety, depression, and addiction, as well as dissatisfactory patterns in their relationships and work life. Many clients have never 'been heard' before, have lost touch with themselves, and doubt their own capacity to be well and to thrive in their lives. Some clients have severe trauma, and have difficulty being 'in' their own bodies. Many clients are caught in cycles of emotional reactivity.
Within a safe, attuned psychotherapeutic relational container, the healing begins, and the rupture in relationship in relationship with self can be repaired. The way through the suffering of old patterns that no longer serve is relational, and the aim of Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy is transformative and lasting relational change.
Client-paced sessions honor safety, are grounded in core mindfulness, and may include Compassionate Inquiry, IFS, somatic psychotherapy, Buddhist Psychology, and DBT skills. Breath, meditation, yoga therapeutics, Nonviolent Communication are also options. Couples may choose to work within an IFS or RLT framework, aimed toward an intimate relational shift.
