Chris Tomkins
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, NCC, ACS, CCS
Location
I am a passionate and dedicated helping professional. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. I am experienced at assisting with many conditions, especially depression, anxiety and substance use disorders. I am also a qualified and experienced clinical supervisor for new counselors.
My client care is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Research consistently finds that these are highly effective strategies. MI builds motivation to change behavior. CBT teaches skills to change thoughts and emotions. Therapy with me is a collaborative relationship where we work towards your goals, not mine.
Caldwell Mental Health is a private practice that is wholly committed to excellent, personalized client care. We seek to schedule new clients as soon as possible, usually within a week, in a private, comfortable and confidential setting. Contact us to learn more.
