I am a licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist & clinical supervisor with nearly 30 years of experience. I particularly like working with couples in crisis. I have experience with clergy and clergy families, therapists, spiritual issues & issues of faith, Addiction Recovery, Anxiety, Depression, Grief & loss, Dilemmas in parenting, Premarital counseling, Relationship issues, Self-image issues, Stress & Trauma among other presenting issues.
Pastoral Counseling uses spiritual resources and psychological understanding for healing and growth. Pastoral Counselors are mental health professionals who also have in-depth religious and theological training, but we are open to working with clients of all faiths, those who have been hurt by their faith tradition, and those who identify with no faith.
Reaching out for help too often feels like failure to people, but no one is born knowing how to have healthy relationships with yourself or with others. Therapists are not experts here to tell you what you want to do, but to help you build on strengths you have, help you understand the places you might want to work and grow and help you get there.
