I approach counseling much like Sam helps Frodo in Lord of the Rings, I will follow you and help you with your burden for as long as you need me, still knowing it's your journey and burden to bear. I thoroughly enjoy working with clients that are experiencing existential dread or feel like they are searching for some sort of meaning in life. This could include but is not limited to: feeling anxious, guilty, or depressed without knowing why, a loss of interest in your hobbies and relationships, and/or questioning your goals, ideals and values.
I also have a great interest in working with folks exploring their spiritual identity. I should note that I do not offer faith based counseling, but instead exploring what the meaning of spirituality means to each individual client. This could also include unpacking spiritual trauma, which could include negative experiences with religions and/or cults.
