A pleasure to meet you! Therapy with me is about co-creating a hearth - a therapeutic space for warmth, restoration, and growth along life’s journeys. I work with individuals and families who have experienced the effects of anxiety, depression, substance use, addiction, relational trauma, and complex trauma. These effects often leave us in chaotic cycles of either burning things to the ground or feeling cold and alone. I also am passionate about working with neurodivergent folks (ADHD and Autism) who have maybe felt outcast in their search for connection. Together, we rest and reflect on whatever creating a warm home means to you.
I help provide compassion and empathy that meets you where you’re at by welcoming difficult emotions, relationship patterns, thoughts, and memories that often fuel things out of control or snuff your fire out completely. From there, we work on empowering you to pick up coping strategies and interpersonal skills as tools that help you keep things warm.
If I’m not putting how my client understands their story first, I’m not doing my job. While traditional talk therapy works for some, I also offer ways of, "choosing your own adventure," through walk and talk as well as relating characters and themes from mythology, music, and geek culture to your own story.
