I have built my practice believing that everyone deserves a second chance, respect, peace and happiness. My purpose is to assist and support you while you reach YOUR goals. Life can be challenging at times. Seeking to restore balance and harmony in your daily walk takes effort and courage. Successful outcomes are possible when one is willing to embrace change. Adopting the life challenge "from now until I go to sleep" can help you find your way (Tom Diffenderfer, 2009).
Life is an adventure, sometimes interrupted by substance use disorders. Anxiety, fear and worry can rob you of the pleasure of each day. Struggle reduction provides a way to relax and enjoy life's journey with new attitudes as building blocks and obstacles as opportunities.
Opioid addiction is killing the Tennesseans. We are here to help. Medically assisted treatment, utilizing Buprenophine/Suboxone/Subutex, provides clients with support while recovering from opioid addiction. We invite you to counseling in person, via internet, or in groups to support your recovery journey. We welcome you to IOP, LIOP or groups as well.

Professional Connections

I strongly recommend Mrs.Chris Buchanan as an outstanding addiction counselor for my addiction practice. She is exceptionally qualified with many specific skills, certifications and integrity that are essential for the needs of my addiction patients. Her approach to this vulnerable population includes an unbiased attitude that is open minded and accepting of each patients' individual specific situations. She displays considerable empathy with the ability to conceptualize what it is like to see through her patients' eyes with a unique connection. Her key problem-solving skills include: active listening, effective communication, skilled mediator, group therapy expert, problem solver, and compassion. She develops rapport with my opiate addiction patients quickly and builds strong relationships derived from her education, experience and full understanding of opiate addiction disease and medication assisted treatment. Mrs. Buchanan's self-awareness, ability to maintain composure and wisdom provides opportunities for patients to learn how to change harmful behaviors and patterns. Teaching the development of essential support and tools implemented to change futile patterns of behavior promote empowering results for the patients recovery by living a more content and better quality of life.
