With over 30 years of experience as a psychologist working with children, adolescents and adults, I have learned that a comfortable and honest relationship is the key to a successful outcome. I strive to create an environment that allows clients to feel safe in addressing their challenges and goals. I have extensive experience as a developmental psychologist, and I consider any intervention in the context of the client's broader environment. While I have extensive training in several clinical methods, my work draws most from research in cognitive behavior therapy and family systems.
My practice is evenly divided between psychological testing, psychotherapy and program consultations to schools. In my testing and therapeutic work, I specialize in addressing AD/HD and executive functions issues, learning disabilities, processing speed disorders and emotional issues. My therapeutic work is directed at individuals, couples and families and tends to emphasize shorter-term interventions.
As Executive Director of the Sasco River Center, I formed this interdisciplinary, collaborative practice of over 70 clinicians due to my strong belief that children and families are best served when they have access to clinicians who understand the individual issues of the client in the broader context of their family and community.
