I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with four years of clinical experience and a Master’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and EMDR, allowing me to address both underlying patterns and present-day symptoms. My approach focuses on helping individuals transform overwhelming, all-encompassing suffering into more manageable, ordinary pain. I aim to support you in building a life that feels aligned with your values.

Clients would describe me as validating, direct and non-judgmental. I use a dialectical framework which essentially means consistently seeking a balance between seemingly opposing ideas: acceptance and change, emotions and logic, self-compassion and accountability. I specialize in emotional dysregulation, ADHD, PTSD, unstable relationships, and anxiety.

I love to take the first session to really get to know you, what you're needing, and where you are now. I dont expect to learn everything about you in one hour but my goal is for you to walk away from the first session feeling heard and confident about the possibility of change.

I often work with clients who are dysregulated and traumatized. In our first session we will develop a plan for the changes that are most important to you. Subsequent sessions will be skill building to build emotional regulation and then trauma focused therapy to reprocess harmful past experiences and reduce activation around triggers.

This virtual DBT skills group is for adult individuals currently meeting with an individual therapist and struggling with emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, or low distress tolerance. Group members should be 18 years or older and free from suicide attempts and significant self-harm for at least 6 months. Accepting BCBS, Aetna, cigna and SHP as an INN provider. Sliding scale available for self pay
