I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with experience since 2006, starting as a community supports worker. I became a licensed therapist in 2012 and have worked with children and caregivers with trauma and attachment issues, teenagers with behavioral challenges, and adults uncovering underlying causes of emotional challenges. Most recently, I worked in a close-custody prison where I witnessed individuals considered "the worst of the worst" completely change their thinking patterns and behaviors after gaining insight and motivation to succeed.
I specialize in attachment issues between young children and their caregivers. Play therapy helps parents support their child's emotional regulation. For adults with trauma, I use narrative therapy to address paranoia, trust issues, depression, and anxiety. I believe any situation can be addressed with a listening ear, understanding, and patience.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential. My ability to relate, empathize, and understand you without judgment supports you through challenges.
