As a counselor, I empower individuals to overcome obstacles and disturbances in their lives. The willingness to face things you want to change, is all it takes. Fear is expected as change comes, however we can work on coping skills to diminish the fear and anxiety you have. Imaging an ideal client is like imagining an ideal human being. In short, there isn't an ideal client. I believe we are all people first; dealing with our own issues and finding our own ways of coping with the challenges and barriers life has thrown at us. However, therapy gives us a chance to reflect on our life by forming a safe, stable, and nurturing relationship with someone who helps us reach our potential. An ideal client can have a variety of concerns and goals; whether relationship issues, anxiety, or depression. However, my job is to meet them where they are at and empower them to a place they had never considered.
