I am a former School Counselor for 12 years, so I am well versed in a variety of school related issues such as academic and career counseling and personal or social difficulties.

We are accepting new clients (In-Person and Telehealth). We have a small, welcoming group practice consisting of therapists with many years of experience and a broad range of expertise in treating children, adolescents, and adults. Our therapists understand and work with individuals from all walks of life and enjoy assisting them with their mental health goals. Together we develop a treatment plan that best fits our clients’ needs and desires for living a better life. Our office is comfortable and home-like in its furnishings and decor. Our therapists are licensed in Ohio and West Virginia as well as Pennsylvania.

I believe distress arises naturally in our complex, over stimulating and often threatening world. I encourage people to learn about themselves & their natural human reactions to distress. Clients learn ways to settle their mind and body, growing their capacity to respond rather than react. Clients develop inner and outer power resources to cope with challenging circumstances. I am committed to racial-cultural learning to increase self-awareness, reduce micro-aggressions, and facilitate meaningful change toward greater equity and opportunity for people who have been/are oppressed.

There are many options for coping skills such as from EMDR (emdria certified); Gestalt, Existential, DBT, CBT and Mindfulness. Past/ current clients have worked through generational trauma, disordered eating, sexual assault, family and/ or marital concerns, trauma, depression and anxiety, attention deficit, career and direction of life concerns. It is common to struggle with the first step of reaching out to a provider.. typically people feel relief once they start talking to and then selecting a provider.

I believe every one has their own unique potential in overcoming adversity. Life is not easy and often times we need support and someone to listen to our fears, hopes, dreams. We sometimes, need a nudge in a certain direction that we can't clearly see. I can help provide that nudge with whatever your are struggling with and provide insight on how to get there. I also do life coaching. Life coaching is different than therapy in that you may need guidance but not have a psychological disorder.

I am dedicated and hard working with over 23 years of experience in the mental health field serving children, young adults, and families. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, and depression and have an extensive background in helping children with behavioral issues and their families. By developing a strong therapeutic alliance, I am able to offer skill development and confidence building to support clients in processing events and decision making. Ideal clients will be open and honest in a supportive, non-judgmental setting to learn skills and increase happiness and hopefulness.
