Jacqueline Gutierrez is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2021. She has an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a B.S. in Sociology, Minor in Psychology. Jacqueline provides a person-centered approach with every client she works with to ensure that they have someone in their life that can truly meet them where they're at. I would describe my practice as helping people work through life issues in ways that promote relational, emotional and spiritual growth. My clinical areas of interest include spirituality, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. I also specialize in working with men's issues. I apply a Christian/faith-based approach to counseling and am trained in both theology and professional counseling. I am an ordained minister and pastoral counselor. I don't impose my beliefs on clients, and respect all faith/spiritual traditions as valuable resources for healing. My goal is to help clients develop tools and skills, based on their current strengths, that they can use moving forward. In six to eight sessions we will focus on what they can do versus what they cannot do.

Sometimes we're faced with the why's (why is this happening), the what if's (what if it doesn't get better), and the how's (how am I supposed to get through this), and a lot of times these can take over, leaving us completely feeling well...hopeless. The truth is we are more resilient than we think, we can be stronger than we currently feel, and it's NOT always going to last forever.

I come from a background in education, serving students and families in local districts since 2007, first through teaching and then through school psychology beginning in 2017.
