My approach to therapy is to create a safe and non-judgmental space to encourage and empower all individuals to heal, grow, and reach overall well-being. I work with adults, adolescents, and children and use different approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, DBT, Play Therapy, and other creative therapies including both mindfulness and supportive techniques. Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a middle Tennessee native, passionate about helping others. My specialty is with teen girls dealing with anxiety, grief, and OCD, I have experience with children (male and female) ages 6-12, teen girls, adult women ages 18-50, and premarital couples. I have worked with anxiety, depression, grief, adoption, divorce, self-harm, eating disorders, addiction and behavioral issues. I am certified in the Prepare Enrich couples therapy model.

My preferred clients are children, individuals, and couples. With children, I focus primarily on adjustment and trauma-related issues. I utilize many different methodologies to target specific areas of interest and then rebuild their self-image. This unique theraputic style assists in coping through major life changes and helps to increase self-care and mindfulness. Expressive arts integrates the visual arts, movement, drama, music, writing, play and other creative processes to foster personal transformation. In our sessions we will use intermodal expressive arts interventions to engage the full range of emotions associated with life’s obstacles.
