Over 5 years of experience helping others heal in various mental health settings. I worked with children and their parents in hospitals, schools, non-profit institutions, and foster care organizations. My mental health focus has been postpartum depression, depression, anxiety, and poor self-esteem in both youth and adults. I thrive to help others manage and develop coping strategies, self-esteem, self-confidence, reduce stress, and build resilience. I use a strength based and cognitive restructuring approach.

I approach psychotherapy with each of my unique and wonderful clients with the same perspective I approach my own life: that while our life circumstances may be stressful, out of our control, and cause us pain and suffering, we DO have control over how we “experience” this stress, pain, and suffering.

Born and raised in the beautiful Mojave Desert of Southern California, I am a Small Town Girl with a Big Passionate Heart! I am the proud wife of a Disabled Marine Corps Veteran who is also an Ordained Minister. I am a mom, a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a friend, and a grandma (or 'Mimi' as I prefer). I am an Ordained Minister with The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, and I have an identical twin sister! (I was the surprise baby Noone knew about) I have a 'Down-To-Earth'' Approach in my therapy and offer Professional Clinical Counseling for both Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders-from a Christian Worldview!

I enjoy working with adults of all ages, races and genders including clients who identify as non binary and the LGBTQ community. I also enjoy working with teens and children and have experience with family therapy.

Leah Blankenship (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed professional counselor, who works with children, adolescents, adults, and groups. Her specialty interests include: women’s, men’s, and gender issues; career development; addictions; and trauma. She integrates art therapy, positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), gestalt, and multicultural counseling into practice. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

Katherine “Katie” Kirkholder (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced clinical intern with CT status who works with adults, adolescents, and children. She is studying to become a licensed professional counselor and art therapist. Her specialty interests include: mood and personality disorders, depression, anxiety, coping skills, trauma, self-harm, girls’ and women’s issues, and overall health and wellness. She utilizes treatment approaches that are uniquely tailored to each client.
