Learning how to cope with life's challenges will decrease feelings of hopelessness and sadness. Lauren Kustec is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Akron and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Lauren has experience working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and of all ages. Lauren has provided treatment to individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and other mental health issues that impact daily living.

Beth Gracey has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as an independently licensed social worker. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Master's degree in Social Work. She has been the Children's Program Coordinator at the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board for over 10 years. She serves as co-chair of the Summit County Youth Suicide Prevention Committee, and Summit County Trauma Informed Care Coalition. She is a Level One Certified Trauma Practitioner and certified perinatal mood disorder specialist.

My approach to counseling is one of offering space to client for their own empowerment and assisting my clients in becoming active participants in their thoughts, growth, and lives. I strive to embody trust, transparency, and authenticity in all realms of my life and work. I believe a relationship with a counselor is a caring space where one can be themselves without worries of judgment. From my perspective, counseling is a safe relationship in which one can explore their concerns, learn about themselves and the world around them, and try new things to find what works to harness positive change and improve well-being.

I'm a social worker with over 45 years of experience with children, adolescents, families, couples and adults. I find that people get the best results when we look at their lives as a whole -physical, emotional, intellectual, what many people call spiritual (your most deeply held beliefs and values, however you define them), and socially, as a member of your community (as you define that.) I have training and experience in a variety of treatments which are evidence-based.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I received my Master’s degree from John Carroll University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2022. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in Theatre, at the Ohio State University. My focus is on psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and their families with an emphasis on depression, general anxiety, social anxiety, suicidality, and ADHD. I use an eclectic approach, incorporating CBT, DBT, and expressive therapies, including art/drama.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in many settings including hospitals, schools, childcare centers, juvenile detention centers, adolescent residential treatment facilities, and outpatient community mental health centers.
