Steve Karnehm specializes in providing practical help to individuals and families. Steve sees his role in counseling as facilitator, coach, and encourager. His experience includes 10 years as a teacher, 30 years as a high school coach, 25 years as a consultant to youth organizations, and 30 years as a counselor providing direct service to clients. Steve lives near Dayton and has a passion for enriching the lives of autistic children and their families. Likewise, he spends time empowering high school athletes since it is his belief that athletic endeavors are often "life in miniature" and life lessons are often learned via real experiences.

It's totally valid to be nervous about opening up to a new person, practically a stranger, but the good news is, we can start right where you are! I have found my "home" as a therapist with the intervention called EMDR, but have witnessed the benefits of other interventions I am trained in including: CBT, DBT, CAMS, and Expressive Arts Therapies.
