Hello! I am a board-certified Dance/Movement Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I strive to assist my clients to move through challenging experiences by helping them with understanding the power of the mind/body connection. The hope is that once this connection is better understood, an individual can reconnect to their life fully. I have had the privilege to work in community, school, and hospital environments as well as private practice settings with children to adults.

I have a background in working with children and families who have experienced significant changes in their family dynamic, behavioral issues, anxiety/depression, children who have experienced trauma, and individuals with developmental delays and Autism. My past work has guided me in teaching others techniques to improve management of their impulses and behaviors impacting their day-to-day functioning, as well as address anxious distress and emotional difficulties.

We are a family owned outpatient practice that focuses on quality care, ethical practice and we have excellent client outcomes. We work with children (aka,littles), adolescents, teens, and all adults. ADHD, anxiety, school issues, behavior issues, oppositional defiant, depression, trauma, grief, personality disorders, PTSD, social issues, change of life issues, adjustment issues, later life issues, anger issues, divorce issues, separation anxiety, blended family issues, post COVID issues and many more. We use many treatment approaches including EMDR. We have a specialized play therapy suite, art room and the office is very comforting and inviting. We also work collaboratively with your physicians to assist in continuity of care.

Hello, my name is Amanda Vanlaningham, LPCC, LIMFT and I am a professional counselor and family therapist. I have experience in working with families, adults and individuals in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, grief, and PTSD since 2014. I strive to meet my clients where they are as well as supporting them on their journey to reaching their personal goals through skill building, insight, and increasing self-awareness.

My passion is for helping children and families learn to appreciate their inner strengths and grow in confidence to face adversity head on.
