I have found my "home" as a therapist with the intervention called EMDR, but have witnessed the benefits of other interventions I am trained in including: CBT, DBT, CAMS, and Expressive Arts Therapies. Suicidal ideation, depression, and trauma (including surviving abuse) are my specialties.

As a drug and alcohol counselor, I have learned that individuals want to be heard and seen. That's difficult when you have an addiction. Whether it's to substances or addictions to other things such as pornography, gambling, gaming, eating, etc., I am here to help you find your way out of the repeated cycles. These cycles affect your daily functioning, relationships, and physical well-being. Addiction leads you down roads you never thought you would find yourself on. It can be isolating and bring up many emotions. I can provide a safe space to explore why the patterns continue to be repeated and help you find a different way.

I have provided clinical counseling, advocacy, and case management services, with a specialization in trauma. I also have experience working with individuals and families, providing parenting strategies and support, as well as exploring healthy relationship skills. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (for children and adolescents), and EMDR. I focus on the existing strengths of my clients and encourage the use of those strengths to work toward identified goals. Empathy, compassion, integrity, and service drive my interactions with clients.
