I am a Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Larchmont, NY with 15 years of clinical practice experience working with adults and children struggling with a broad spectrum of psychological and life issues. I approach this work with an integration of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral strategies, finding the best fit of therapeutic support for the client and developing goals together with the client. In addition, I have a secondary specialty in helping parents of young children struggling with mild to moderate special needs, as they navigate the often complicated and stressful path of finding effective supports.

I am a NYS Psychologist and School Neuropsychologist. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and I find the combination enhances each other. I help children, adolescents, and adults be more in charge of and thus more productive in their lives. In additon to seeing ages 10 on in psychotherapy, I also perform Neuropsychological Evaluations as well as Psychoeducational Evaluations for children ages 6 on, adolescents, and young adults.

Laura Mazzapica, MA, LMHC Laura Mazzapica is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is trained in and practices Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavior Therapy(DBT). Laura is highly trained and experienced with providing counseling to children and teens to address social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. She offers individual and group counseling and Family Therapy sessions. Laura believes in supporting and maintaining emotional health in children and adolescents as the basis for their happiness and success. Dr. Dobbs is an accomplished clinical psychologist with over fifteen years of experience between teaching and clinical work.
