I also specialize in depression and anxiety. The ideal client will be dedicated to their own treatment and have a strong desire to feel better. Together with my client we work as a team to achieve the therapeutic goals and make life worth living and enjoying. I have been working in mental health for over a decade and it is my greatest passion in life.

Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

I work with children, adolescents and adults. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression and stress reduction, as well as other psychiatric disorders. Methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), meditation, expressive art, play therapy and animal assisted therapy. I have 2 dogs. Dogs are available by appointment only. I also work with individuals with chronic pain. (One dog is a Rescue with 3 legs TRI )

The Hudson Valley Center for Development is a Mt. Sinai associated mental health services practice created in 2007 to meet the emotional needs of adults, children, adolescents, and families in Orange County and the lower Hudson Valley. Our warm and experienced staff provide in person psychotherapy and tele-therapy.

I enjoy connecting with people and have been successful in aiding others to reconnect with their own power and joy. I have a wide range of experience, including trauma, couples therapy, serious mental illness, personality disorders, and forensic evaluations. I have come to specialize in trauma-focused work, life transitions, and couples counseling.

I am a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist.I form a therapeutic partnership with my clients to determine what their goals are, and how best to achieve these goals. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a form of therapy whose tenet is that our thoughts cause both our feelings and our behaviors. This is an important concept because we can change the way we think so as to feel and act better, even when our external situations do not change.

I am passionate about helping others achieve goals, work through and problem solve as well as address significant mental health issues and obstacles that intrude, create havoc and prevent individuals from living happy and healthy. As well as a licensed clinical social worker, I also have a masters degree in communication disorders....I'll help you find how and what to say when words and the ability to express feelings are at a loss. Life is not a dress rehearsal....we only go around once!!

My clients seek insight and awareness and to affect change in their lives. I bring Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral and Problem Solving approaches and techniques to therapy. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, an accelerated processing tool addressing trauma, anxiety and depression, and use EMDR in Family and Couples work and also with children. Families and Couples are offered structural and sytstemic approaches and interventions. Work with children provides Play Therapy and Social Skills Training with Behavioral interventions. I have strong advocacy skills in the educational and legal systems I enjoy the work with Individuals and Families, Adults and Children alike!

Dr. Michele Winchester-Vega and Associates is a group private practice with over 10 LICENSED professionals that specialize in a variety of modalities and treatment specialties. Treatment is offered to those aged 6 and above and individual, family and group modalities are available. We are involved in teaching and hold faculty positions as well as providing consultation/ supervision to other professionals.
