I am a Columbia University trained licensed psychologist specializing in treating school age children and young adults. I am skilled in treating a wide range of difficulties that children may have including: anxiety, depression, stress induced difficulties, problems with school and social adjustment as well as family based difficulties. I have also treated a number of college aged adults who struggled in their college experience. Dr. Weaver is a native of Pennsylvania and completed his Bachelor of Arts at Temple University in 1993. He was accepted into the Psychology Honors Program there and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was ranked 18 out of a graduating class of over 2000 students. He was awarded his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, Garden City, NY in 1999. Dr. Weaver's clinical and research interests center around Margaret Mahler's Separation-Individuation Theory.

A seasoned Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, I obtained my Master's in Clinical Social Work from the prestigious Fordham University's Advanced Standing Program, specializing in therapy for couples, individuals, and young people. I further honed my expertise with a postgraduate degree from the Albert Ellis Institute.

My lens in psychotherapy is informed by the principle of organicity; that every person has within them tremendous wisdom and the ability to heal. John Callahan has been director of outpatient programs (Crisis and traditional outpatient mental health clinic).....for 30 years and has had extensive experience working with children and families.
