I love the collaborative and creative work of therapy. I see my role, not only as a trained practitioner of clinical modalities, but also as one of a midwife or gardener. I believe each of us has the wisdom of what we need to heal within us. It is not my job to teach you how to be a better person or to become whole . . . our work in therapy is to help you remember that you are and always have been—whole. Together we compost the trauma of the past and rotate, turn it, and bring it to light so that it can fertilize the soil for growth. As an immigrant and intimate relationship violence survivor, I have a huge passion for supporting individuals who struggle with past/ongoing unhealthy intimate relationships trauma, attachment injuries, low self-esteem, racism, language barriers, and interracial relationships and helping them reclaim their authenticity and life. I am also one of few Asian LGBTQIA+ therapists in town :)

The Evidence Based Practice of Nevada (The EBP) is a behavioral healthcare clinic located in Henderson, Nevada. The EBP also serves neighboring Arizona and Utah. We are a team of highly-specialized licensed mental health care providers (including psychologists, social workers, and other therapists) who stay up to date with the most recent research and innovations in patient care. The EBP team provides comprehensive evaluations (such as neuropsychological, psychological, and psychoeducational testing and assessment), and treatment (psychotherapy) for a wide range of behavioral and mental health concerns across the lifespan.

I have a PhD and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy and am a interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I believe that my most important asset as a therapist is my calm and balanced presence; I am an effective sounding board for self-discovery and exploration. Entering therapy is a risk. Knowing this, I focus on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment with a collaborative approach. The truth is that all of us go through tough times and there are so many of us who could really benefit from counseling. The LMWC is home to seven therapists. Most are EMDR trained and are skilled in many different areas. We are able to offer counseling at a sliding scale if you need financial assistance.
