I enjoy working with a broad range of clients...from children who have been impacted by trauma, to adults who are struggling with life changes, unresolved trauma, or anxiety/depression. I honor that all of us are individual human beings with different needs, therefore, I like to tailor my therapeutic sessions to the person I'm sitting with at the moment. I believe that all of us need a safe space to be heard and to process all that life may throw at us throughout different stages of our journey. My passion is to create that safe space for anyone who feels I would be a good fit for them.

I have over ten years of experience in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), specific phobias, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, school anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, and depression. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders across the lifespan (ages 4+), and have particular expertise in working with children and adolescents. I utilize innovative, evidence-based treatments informed by the latest science and cutting edge research. I also currently offer Virtual Reality treatment for many difficult to treat symptoms (fear of needles, flying, bugs, driving, and more!)

I have been working with children, families and organizations for over three decades in various forms. From children with special needs, to teaching, to hospice care, to working in schools and organizations, to now working full time as a therapist. In working as a therapist, I have experience working in schools, churches, foster care, CPS, FOC, family relationships, child behavior, parenting, conflict resolution, and leadership counseling. I have worked with children, parents, grandparents, pastors, principals, and others seeking to move in a different direction, or better manage their current situation.

At the Trauma and Attachment Center we focus on helping people process their traumas and strengthen their attachments. We are a small group of clinicians with a passion for helping and making people feel welcome. The center was founded by Danie Duron and the following is her personal statement: My ideal client would be a person hoping to heal their trauma that they have encountered in life and would like to use EMDR, (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) in order to do so.

It's a privilege when you trust and allow me to walk alongside you through challenges but also to celebrate your successes. For over twenty years I have offered support in relational work with children, teens, adults and families helping them navigate life transitions and offered information on supportive services.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and empowerment focused. My goal is to provide a safe environment where you can navigate what feels most right to you. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology from Grand Valley State University and my Master’s of Social Work from Western Michigan University

I provide counseling for children, teenagers, young adults, and new mothers. I have years of experience working directly with children - including working with children in the foster care system, caring for children in the public school system, and therapeutically supporting children. My goal is to work with individuals who need guidance in the struggles of life. I am open to all walks of life and strive to create a supportive mentorship role with all clients.

Hi! I'm Misty! I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families! My typical client is between 3 and 26 years old and I use a variety of approaches to meet the needs of my clients. I am currently working on obtaining my registered play therapy (RPT) credential and utilize play, art, sandtray, and other expressive arts to make therapy fun for kids! I also will incorporate caregivers into the therapeutic process as needed so the healing can continue happening at home. For adolescents and young adults we can talk, or we can use some of the above techniques to help process. I also am experienced in EMDR and DBT modalities.

Life is full of twists & turns; seasons that are heavy & seasons we move through with ease. I believe we all can benefit from a listening ear & predictable support as we embrace a life of radical honesty. I have a great passion for working with children, teens, young adults, and women struggling in self-esteem and body image issues. I am empathetic and understanding and strive to provide a warm and caring atmosphere to facilitate the healing process. I am here to walk with clients through the tough times so they can love their life and themselves fully.

In my time working with children, families, and adults in therapeutic settings, I have found there are moments where a client gets a light in their eyes. Whether it be from feeling understood, or like they are no longer alone-these are the moments that embody my goal as a therapist. With trauma-informed, adaptive intervention approaches such as EMDR, reality therapies, somatic and narrative approaches, I work alongside clients to create a space based in their strengths.

Although I spend a lot of time conducting psychological assessments, I truly enjoy the time I get to spend as a therapist walking through life with my clients.
