Here at Whitten Psychological Services, we focus on helping people in need of pre-surgical assessments. We also provide ongoing therapy/consultation services to support bariatric and pain patients in their journey to becoming healthier and happier. Our therapists are able to help people with anxiety, PTSD, depression, and relationship problems. We have several therapists who specialize in marriage counseling. We accept most major insurance plans including Passport and other Medicaid providers.
Our practice has partnered with several community agencies such as Anna Behavioral Services, Awake Ministries, A Loving Choice, Operation care, Norton's Children's Medical, Shelby County Public Schools, and KentuckyOne Health. We are better able to serve our community through these rich partnerships and help children and families grow health together.
My clinical work focuses on providing pre-surgical assessments for people experiencing weight loss struggles and chronic pain. The assessments are conducted entirely online by a licensed clinical psychologist. Recommendations for adjunct services are often made to help patients be more successful in meeting weight loss goals and managing chronic pain.
