I have been working in the field of counseling for 25+ years. I have had the pleasure of working with individuals from many walks of life with various issues. I have worked with very diverse populations including federal pre-trial, post-conviction and probation clients, all areas of substance abuse issues, drug testing, anger management, EAP services, rapid response emergency services, grief/loss, domestic violence, family services, marital, youth, and spiritual counseling. I have extensive experience working in the area of high conflict co-parenting-divorce issues .

My ideal Client is one who is experiencing mental health challenges, like anxiety, depression, habits, or relationship problems. Their goal is to reduce their symptoms and have a higher quality of life. They would understand that changes takes time and consistent effort over time, and would be willing to do homework assignments in-between sessions.

Over the years and after receiving thousands of initial calls and emails from clients, it is clear that many are unsure of what they need or where to go. We find great pleasure in helping clients navigate this process. As a group practice we are able to provide services for a variety of needs: anxiety, addictions, pain management, depression, relationship issues, psychological testing, individual, life transitions and even helping clients who just want to live their best life! I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 30 years of experience. I enjoy working with teens and young adults but have also worked with children and adults of all ages. I relate well with adolescents with behavioral issues, school issues, involvement in juvenile justice system, mental health issues and substance use. I have experience working with youth, children and families with child services involvement including foster care. I have had excellent outcomes working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, anger management, other mental health issues, as well as those who have been impacted by trauma.

This client maybe dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, or medical trauma. They are motivated to engage in cognitive behavioral therapy techniques as well as person centered approach.

Starting counseling is a significant decision. Counseling can sometimes lead to intense emotions, and clients sometimes feel worse before they feel better. However, counseling often leads to significant symptom reduction, increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, greater personal awareness and insight, and increased skills for managing stress.

I’ve been a licensed mental health counselor for over 10 years and practicing in the field for over 14 years. I’ve worked in a variety of settings with clientele ranging from pre-teenagers to older adults. I’ve helped individuals who’s struggled with behavior problems, grief, depression, anxiety and other life concerns. My therapeutic style tends to be eclectic in nature, but has foundations in Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. I provide therapeutic services for children and teens. I have worked at alternative schools, inpatient hospitals, and residential treatment facilities. I am a staunch advocate for youth, and have extensive knowledge of psychiatric medication for children and teens. I am comfortable working with a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, childhood trauma, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. I utilize sensory integration therapy to help children self-sooth and enhance their independence. I enjoy working with children and families in crisis.
