As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

Jessica Connell, LPC, received her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College in 2020. She has expertise in trauma focused therapy and has completed post graduate work and training in EMDR trauma informed therapy. Jessica has experience working in private practice and in mental health/addiction residential treatment settings. Jessica is a graduate of Grace College with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has additional specialized training in EMDR therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Life is messy. That’s the motto I adopted a few years ago to remind myself that there is no such thing as perfect and rarely does everything go according to plan. My journey has taken me through a variety of messes…divorce, single parenting, job changes, remarriage and the blending of families, just to name a few. Although this isn’t the path that I planned to take, I am thankful for each step because of the healing and growth that accompanied it and ultimately led me to pursue my master’s degree in family and marriage therapy.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I received my doctorate from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. I work with children and families, as well as teens and adults utilizing Individual and Family therapy. I find importance in practicing types of therapy that allow me to understand a person from their own perspective, honor their potentially difficult past, while helping them through a potentially difficult present. I focus on a person’s needs and what might work best for them.

A lack of purpose, understanding, and knowledge of one's self can send ripples of negative events in one's life. So, learning, as well as empathizing with that uncertainty, is critical. The goals of change and experiencing are critical.

Our clients enjoy humor, are honest, and are wanting to try new things if it makes sense to them. Some want relief from depression, or various forms of anxiety including trauma and grief. Others struggle with addictions and addictive behavior and are looking for ways to feel more in control. Or, they have concerns about their kids, ADHD, autism, or other behavior, and would like someone to come along side them to help support them or their child. Services are also available in Spanish. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable space that is free of judgement and where one can be their true, authentic self. I believe that every person can reclaim their positive sense of self and discover their own potential through inner work.
