I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in the Andersonville/Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. I provide individual, family and/or couples therapy with adults, adolescents, and children age five and up. My style is warm, non-judgmental, compassionate, and direct. I believe a strong, trusting, collaborative relationship with one's therapist is vital to realizing change and experiencing growth. I take particular care in tailoring interventions to meet an individual's needs and emphasize their strengths. My approach is largely based on cognitive-behavioral and relational techniques.

Sometimes, our responses to life circumstances may not be conducive to finding long-term joy, authenticity, or connection. Our experiences are stored in both our minds and bodies, and expressed through both as well. Between a wide array of clinical approaches and your lifetime of lived experiences, my aim is to work collaboratively with you in reaching your goals, and to craft a therapeutic environment where you feel safe to be your most authentic self.

I am passionate about working with trans and gender non-conforming folx, as well as children and those struggling with mood related concerns. I believe in the importance of being myself in the room and strive to work with my clients to create a space where authenticity, openness, freedom, playfulness, vulnerability, and understanding abound.

My approach involves the provision of support, understanding and encouragement to enhance awareness and success for the creation of meaning and satisfaction. My style is interactive and I offer strategies and feedback to enhance client's achievement of goals.

I believe that, for the most part, we’re all doing our best. But I also believe that people are often capable of much more than we tend to give ourselves credit for, because it can be hard to find the power and strength we have inside ourselves when we feel unseen and unheard. I think that’s why therapy can be such an important and effective intervention for a lot of people. I never want a client to feel like they have to be in therapy forever, but I’m happy to stay in the journey with them as long as they want to be there.

As a leader in the neurodiversity movement, I have dedicated my work as a therapist, educator, speaker, supervisor, business owner, and writer to support major shifts in conceptualizing mental health and create lasting change for neurodivergent folks. I specialize in working with clients who are exploring ADHD, AuDHD, autism, race, creativity, artistic identity, queerness, executive functioning, and relationships through individual, couples, and family therapy. I lead with authenticity and a unique focus on language that helps my clients design a life that reflects their unique wants, interests, desires, goals, and identities.

I take a client-centered focus in therapy; meaning I believe you are the expert of your experience. As a trauma-informed therapist, I think it is important to meet you where you are with the recognition that healing and growth are not linear. Becoming a parent is one of the most transformative journeys a person will experience. For some it can be a time for self awareness, reflection and deepening of relationships. For others it may be a time filled with anxiety, fear and distress. After baby arrives the family will be in a time of transition, navigating new roles and how to care for and attune to baby. I am passionate about supporting parents and their babies to navigate the crucial time period.

I have a diverse training background with young children through adults which has granted me the privilege of working with culturally and demographically diverse individuals with various mental health and behavioral concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use concerns, personality disorders, SMI, LGBTQ+ specific concerns, and developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders and cognitive impairment. Throughout my career path, I have met so many amazing people who have not realized how amazing they truly were. It is a privilege to be able to help other people see their potential and strength.
