I provide therapy to adults for a range of emotional and behavioral problems, including adjustment to life changes. My approach encourages individuals to pinpoint the patterns which may be causing them distress. We can then work together in a supportive environment as they identify the changes they want to make in order to have an emotionally healthy and rewarding life. I also perform evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults to determine cognitive ability, and emotional/personality issues (for example: learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, depression, anxiety, suitability for Bariatric surgery, etc.).

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I studied at Cameron University and received a master's in behavioral science in psychology, and a BA in communications from Georgia Southern University. I have been counseling clients since 2011. Prior to becoming a therapist I was an active duty soldier in the United States Army. The army provided exposure to many cultures and adversity. I departed from the army and became involved in military programs while supporting my active duty husband in his service. I was an advocate for the unit's family readiness group which led me to pursue a career in psychology.

My focus is to help my clients to heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. At Southern Bridge Counseling, we hope to achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Jeannie Geherin Hatt helps adults, adolescents, children and couples find their best life. Through supporting her clients, they develop and utilize effective techniques for managing and decreasing personal stressors, overcoming personal obstacles, and bringing hope back into their lives. Because her life has been blessed by these techniques, she desires to share them with you. Jeannie uses clinically tested and evidence-based interventions to accomplish this, including techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused CBT. She earned her Master's in Professional Counseling from Carlow University in PA.
