At YPS we hope to partner with you and your family. YPS has been a leading provider of services in central Florida since opening in 2013. As a clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Yount has conducted hundreds of evaluations, worked with various ages across many settings: outpatient, inpatient, professional athletes, college students, etc. We now have a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on staff who provides ABA therapy for children ages 2 to 8 years old for early intervention. We are not presently accepting clients for mental health counseling.

Simone is interested in girls’ and women’s mental health across the life span, and specifically in perinatal mental health. Simone is also concerned about the emotional impact of the experience of immigration on her clients’ lives. Simone is attentive to the intersection of culture and her clients’ identities and approaches her clients through a psychodynamic lens and with attachment, trauma, cognitive behavioral and narrative theories. Simone is an empathetic professional who focuses on the importance of the therapeutic relationship for the success of the therapeutic process.

I’ve worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings for over 20 years. My counseling practice focuses on helping clients work through the issues that prevent them from participating fully in daily living. I use “top down” approaches like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) along with “bottom up” approaches like biofeedback that work to regulate emotion using the body and breath. I have a strong emphasis on self compassion because I have found that young people who struggle can be very critical of themselves. I work to validate their feelings and normalize their struggles.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, parenting issues, motivation, self esteem, confidence, depression, and more. Dr. Celine Passeri, Psy.D. CEDS-C is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders and co-occurring mental health illnesses,. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and CEDS Consultant. Dr. Passeri uses empirically based treatment modalities when working with her patients, which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Dr. Passeri provides individual, family and group counseling. Dr. Passeri is also the clinical advisor for Orlando children's eating disorder residential treatment center.
