I am a Latinx Millennial therapist. I have experience working with school age children, teens, adults, couples and families. I specialize in the treatment of complex trauma, intimate relationships, communication, socializing, peer and workplace bullying, body image, self-esteem building, anxiety, depression, codependency and inner child healing. Dr. Walters earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from The University of Northern Colorado and a Masters degree from the University of Alabama. During her education Dr. Walters completed a variety of training experiences including working in a drug rehabilitation center, public schools, the University Mental Health Clinic where she provided counseling to families, couples, individuals, and children. Dr. Walters also worked in the Neuropyschology Clinic providing neuropsychological assessment. She completed a dissertation titled Traumatic Brain Injury Self Report: Identifying the Relationship between Personality and Risk Taking Behavior.
