I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut and have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years. I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to my patients as an additional way to help them heal from emotional issues they are facing.

I am a tri-lingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in child, adolescent, adult, family and group treatment. With fluency in Spanish and Portuguese I have had the opportunity to work with diverse populations in the Danbury, Waterbury, New Haven and Bridgeport areas. I have experience providing therapeutic treatment in a variety of settings including: outpatient, in-home programs, residential treatment facilities, school based programs, and in-patient hospital units. My expertise lies with both children and adults dealing with a wide range of anxiety, mood and personality disorders.

I have an abundance of experience working with diverse populations utilizing an array of approaches unique to the individual and family. I enjoy using Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a treatment as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The client has the answers within but has difficulty accessing them. I am here to help with that process. Depression, grief and/or anxiety are usually present in clients who struggle to "fit" into life. My job is to guide the client in making necessary changes they desire. I want to empower the individual vs. telling them what to do. Often trauma, intergenerational issues, addictions, abandonment/loss are part of the problem I need to address.
