Hola! My name is Maya Sol. I am a Xicana activist, dancer, educator, therapist, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated towards raising awareness, political consciousness and empowering our community. I am dedicated towards increasing culturally grounded and decolonial mental health access in California and Colorado with an emphasis on Spanish-speaking & BIPOC communities. Can't stop thinking about the "what if's"? Or maybe you find yourself spending too much time obsessing about what people think of you. Sometimes you get to a point where enjoying the present is difficult and you just can’t seem to shake the feeling of being “on edge.” You may even get a sinking feeling in your stomach when Sunday rolls around knowing you have work or school ahead of you. Feelings and thoughts like this may seem like roadblocks to achieving your goals; however, change is possible.

The issues which I enjoy working with the most are those related to relationships and family dynamics. One of the areas of most interest to me is working with individuals who are coming out of a relationship with a partner who had narcissistic personality traits. I became licensed as a marriage and family therapist in 1998 and have worked as a family therapist in substance abuse treatment programs, residential treatment programs for children and adolescents, and residential treatment programs for women. I also work with many individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and trauma.

I am passionate about psychology and aim to provide effective assistance for those struggling with mental health. I focus on humanistic, critical, and community psychology and value the importance regarding individuals personal and lived experiences with mental health. I find that the individual’s relationship with their struggles shapes their perception of the experience. I understand that it can be difficult to understand your own struggles at times and I work to assist individuals in understanding this.

Marney Earnest is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Colorado with additional certifications in school social work (SSW) and animal-assisted social work (AASW). Marney has over 25 years of experience providing different clinical assessments and therapeutic care to children, adolescents, and adults seeking help with issues related to: anxiety, cancer, depression, hematology, trauma, grief and loss, traumatic brain injuries, maternal infant health care, and women with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Humanities from Baylor University and a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Joy's therapeutic approach combines action and insight by utilizing modalities including but not limited to DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Attachment, Person-centered, Family Systems, and Structural Family Systems. She specializes in working with foster and adoptive families, members of the Queer community, and youth with high risk behaviors.
