The last few years have been very challenging for me personally, I have suffered from anxiety and depression much like many of you. It has surprised me that it has taken so long to get back to feeling like myself again! Does this sound familiar to you? I am very empathetic, and can offer my training and experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, life transition, I have also worked with clients who are recovering from addiction. I have worked with children and teens who have struggled with anxiety, bullying, social challenges, and divorce.

As a Marriage and Family therapist and previous social worker I have over 10 years experience working with individuals and families. My approach to therapy is strength based, believing that each person has the innate potential for healing and change and that the answers lie within you. I am committed to helping you indentify your hidden strengths, heal the trauma, and motivate you to move toward becoming happier and healthier. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who lives in Northern California. I began working with children struggling with mental health challenges, first as direct care staff at a residential treatment facility and then in a more clinical role in a Therapeutic Behavioral Services department. My doctoral program and completion of my Ph.D. in clinical psychology included an internship at large community-based mental health clinic serving children in Sacramento County. I completed my post doctoral training in Kaiser’s children and adolescent psychiatry department where I still work as a psychologist.

After doing some self exploration did you realize deep down you are struggling with worry, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, or just every day functioning? I have a passion for working with children, first responders and their families, and anyone who is ready to start making changes to live a fulfilling and purposeful life.

I have 33 years of experience working with Children and their parents, as well as with early Adolescents and Adults. Issues addressed with children include: school acting out, grief and loss, physical/sexual abuse, bedwetting and other problems associated with childhood. I have a full playroom for my work with children and teens. My work with adults ranges from depression and anxiety, to recovery from childhood abuse, relationship struggles and grief. I use a variety of approaches to facilitate our work together, depending on your needs. I am well trained working with grief, offering comfort and support to help you move forward.
