We often do not seek this type of help, mostly because of the many negative judgments that have influenced us since our childhood. It is these vary experiences, along with our own perception of them, that has caused and exacerbated the very symptoms we seek help for. I support couples and families in improving communication, expressing feelings, resolving conflict, and establishing clearer roles. I encourage parents to set fair and firm limits and establish healthy boundaries. I assist individuals and families in becoming more confident, hopeful, cooperative and relaxed. I support relating with clarity, serenity, and loving kindness. I use mentalization based therapy (MBT) and systems therapy as primary approaches, but can use CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, attachment or other approches as needed.

My experience as a Mental Health Therapist has developed over the year by providing support to clients who have experienced: Severe Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disregulation Disorders, Phobias, and other diagnosis that often impair a persons's ability to function and achieve goals in life. I don't have a specific client that is "ideal" as every client has their own unique history and backstory. I definitely look forward to meeting with people who are interested in self-growth but I also enjoy helping people get to the point to where the may be ready to work on their self-growth.
