I provide individual, group, and family care as well as business consulting, and virtual wellness retreats that helps give people in stigimized communities a voice in the places they feel the most unheard.

I believe that the best counseling experience is derived when a person feels empowered enough to challenge their own comfort zone and explore their vulnerability, and I actively work to be the counselor that a client can do that with.

Medela means "healing" in Latin. I feel that’s what I do, help others on their journey to healing. I feel that healing is a process; sometimes nice and easy, but sometimes it’s not. Each of our journeys look different and that is what makes us unique. We can work on a variety of issues that you or your loved one may be struggling with.

I am a Licensed Therapist and specialize in individual counseling. I have owned my own practice since 2020. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Alabama Counseling & Consulting Services (ACCS) is founded by Lauren Roberts Jones, MS, LPC. Lauren has a wide range of clinical training and experience working with individuals and families. Her specific areas of interests and expertise include, but are not limited to: relationship/family issues, eating disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder and autism. Therapeutically, she works from an integrative perspective, utilizing a variety of orientations and therapies according to the client's individual needs. Lauren's approach involves unconditional acceptance and understanding toward each client.

I have had the opportunity to work as a mental health professional for over 15 years. Most of my focus in those years has been with children, youth and their families, helping both the young and their families to cope with various life situations or the affects of mental illness. I have begun to focus more on helping couples overcome obstacles that occur in their relationships, although I continue to see individuals of all ages.

As a therapist, I have a passion for working collaboratively with my clients as a team to improve all aspects of their health. I strive to provide an individualized, integrative approach to counseling, and my specialties include the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues. I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) under the supervision of Kimberly Allfrey, LPC-S as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am also a Registered Dietitian with an additional Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
