As a licensed psychologist, certified perinatal mental health provider, and specialist in infant/early childhood mental health, I enjoy helping families and children from birth through the elementary school years. I specialize in parent-child relational challenges, anxiety, behavior problems, postpartum depression/anxiety/adjustment, and testing and evaluation.

The main reason why couples seek counseling is due to a communication breakdown that begins to dismantle an otherwise healthy relationship. Our primary need is to be understood, but if partners are using different modes of communication, there can be a disconnect. DT can provide the jump-start to help find the excitement and communication that couples experienced at the beginning of a relationship, and the common ground that can build a stronger place from which to build trust. In learning more about the roles we play, DT offers partners the opportunity to gain greater insight about themselves and about their problems in relationships.

I am an experienced bilingual clinician who works with adolescents, adults, couples and families dealing with a variety of mental health issues. I utilize a number of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, clinical hypnosis and hypnotically-facilitated psychotherapy. My areas of specialization include addiction, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, grief/loss, and bipolar disorder. My life experience has given me broad exposure to divorce, blended families, bi-cultural families, midlife career changes, families with special needs members, special needs advocacy, and sports performance.

Clients who work with me might struggle with anxiety, depression, chronic illness/ autoimmune issues, trauma due to relational/family dynamics, OCD, and grief and loss. I provide expressive arts therapy and talk therapy for all ages including mindful parenting support for adults and re-parenting and parts work for teens and adults.
