I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with 28 years of experience working in a variety of settings with children, teens, and their families. I work with anxiety, anger management issues, ADHD issues, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma.

At our first session, we will focus on your concerns, what brought you into therapy, and any other contributing factors. I will ask questions to clarify my understanding of your concerns, and to get you to begin thinking differently about your situation. We'll discuss your goals and expectations, and how you will know when things are better. My intent will be to help you get "unstuck" from psychological problems, and become the best problem-solver you can be. I have worked with adults, children, teens, and families for over 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I was originally licensed in Oklahoma in 2004 and became licensed in Texas when I moved here in 2013. At that time, I started my private practice. I see clients of all ages for individual and family counseling at the Grant Rd. location. I am only accepting adolescent clients (ages 12 and older) and adults at this time in the Woodlands location. I provide both mental health and substance use counseling (as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor).

I am also a trained Psychotherapist and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. My goal is to empower and assist my clients in identifying their strengths while working towards self actualization. I specialize in children, adolescents, individuals, families and couples. My experiences with working at inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient programs and drug rehab centers, have equipped me to provide effective therapeutic care.

I have experience with a few years in severe mental health working on crisis and working in prison systems. I am also experienced in sex addiction recovery with behavioral and substance abuse. My focus is to help people become more stable in life with life challenges. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focus, and Motivational Interviewing as just a few to be eclectic in my approach. I know that people are different and celebrate peoples differences.
