I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been providing therapy services for over 7 years. I believe therapy is a tool that you can use to navigate anything, big or small. I believe that therapy is beneficial to everyone and being in therapy allows you to express yourself in a judgment free environment.

I work with everyone from young children to adults who are young at heart. We are all human. We have a need to grow, to change, to be validated in who we are no matter what step we are at. My expertise is in helping individuals heal from trauma, abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, family issues, and adolescent/childhood issues. Many of my clients are struggling to cope with painful memories or relationships and desire to enhance coping, self-worth, communication, and healthy boundaries. I am TF-CBT certified and EMDR trained, both evidence-based therapy modalities. My goal is to use clients’ knowledge of themselves and what works for them in conjunction with my knowledge of therapy and my own compassionate and nonjudgmental nature to create a healing space that is most supportive for each individual client.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults who are dealing with life issues that result in depression, anger, and an inability to function in their daily lives. I also enjoy working with couples and families. I believe that families function as a system and when one family member is out of sync, the entire family is disrupted. In my practice, I see children as young as 3 years of age. Play is the "language of the child" and Play Therapy allows children to work through their issues in a non-threatening environment.

If you are a parent seeking help for your child, I offer Child-Centered Play therapy for children ages 4-12. Children engage in counseling by interacting with the therapist and toys in a special setting. I team with parents and have parent consults regularly.

My behavioral health work began in 1988, with adolescents and their families, branching into extremely effective work with addictions and couples counseling. I am trained in EMDR & Brainspotting (BSP), a very fast paced healing process for all types of trauma, PTSD, abuse issues, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, grief issues and cravings. I work most quickly with athletes suffering from mental blocks, injuries and other issues inhibiting performance even though the injury is completely healed. Many of my athletic clients have completed in just a two hour session.

As a REAL sports psychologist, I have a unique practice in that I specialize in working with athletes who have the desire to take their game to the next level. Being a competitive athlete helps me relate to other competitive people in sports or business. My primary focus is on confidence building and the elimination of performance anxiety. I use a 3 tiered approach to training: Perspective Training, Mental Skills Training, and Applied Settings (if applicable at a sporting location). I am the only professional to offer that kind of travel service. We also offer Coaching Certification Programs for those who are interested in teaching.

For the last 30 years I've been privileged to work with courageous clients as they face traumatic life events, stand up to addictions, grieve betrayals and losses, and find freedom to live a more enjoyable confident life. I have a lot of respect for anyone willing to enter into a counseling process with a commitment to growth and change. The counseling process takes a lot of work and determination but I have seen long lasting results as clients have faced uncomfortable feelings and beliefs and literally rewired their brains! I can't imagine a more rewarding job.
