I have worked in the human services field for the last 30 years in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, mental health clinics, nursing homes, day treatment centers, homeless shelters, and school/ community-based programs. Trained as a Dance/Movement Psychotherapist I utilize movement and body-based awareness practices to encompass the whole self in the therapeutic process. I have worked with a range of mental health conditions from acute psychosis to mild mood disorders. I have worked with a range of populations but specialize in working with women, pre/adolescent and adolescent girls, and children.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist at IMPACT - Psychological Services, a group of doctoral-level psychologists who provide high-quality mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families. My clinical work is holistic and trauma-informed, integrating necessary biological, cultural, systemic, and environmental factors influencing emotional distress. My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and nurturing. I specialize in issues related to trauma, grief, depression, and interpersonal/family conflict.

We live in a world of uncertainty, where feeling unsure, can create a climate, of fear, anxiety, depression and dramatic relationships change. When one feels isolated or lonely, and questions their strengths, it is a gift, This is an explanation, for so many symptoms we may suffer. We were not meant to be alone. There have been times I couldn't help but cry with people and I couldn't help but laugh. Suffice it to say I will join you, once you feel comfortable, being creative about finding out how to be the most alive...how to tolerate and move effectively through pain...how to live from a place of ownership, passion, love...how to just be...human. In a fast-paced world where connection and meaning are forgotten, we cultivate a space for finding yourself. Our office focuses on forensic psychology and primarily provide evaluation and assessment those with current or past legal issues related to family conflict, violence, trauma, substance abuse, or behavioral issues. Our office completes Court ordered family court evaluations.

Life and relationships can be complex and I find that it is often helpful have a neutral person to offer a listening ear, guidance, and to facilitate a process of gaining more insight about who you are and what you need. My role would be to help you work towards your goals, which may include building self-compassion, identifying and regulating uncomfortable emotions, processing old traumas, changing negative thoughts and patterns, overcoming challenges, strengthening relationships, implementing new coping skills.
