With 23 years of experience as a practicing clinical psychologist, I use a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral strategies to increase self-awareness and insight, and to develop and strengthen coping strategies and problem solving skills among my adolescent and adult clients. Utilizing a methodologically integrated approach, my aim is to help clients identify, understand and overcome obstacles to well-being and success in the domains of relationships, family, work and school.

My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming. My primary focus is working with autistic and other neurodivergent children (age 4 and up), teens, and young adults as they navigate a world that can be confusing and complex. I also work with individuals with anxiety, depression, sensory processing differences, executive functioning challenges, and divergent ways of communicating and socializing. In particular, I have significant experience supporting teens and young adults as they transition to adulthood, helping them navigate this daunting but exciting time in their lives.

We are living in challenging times. Children and parents need support to get through issues such as divorce, loss of a loved one, illness of a family member, school pressures, adolescent conflict, adult children moving back into the home and bullying. Within the context of family therapy, I work with children ages three through the young adult years. I am a trained play therapist and able to help children and adolescents express their feelings and deep emotions. I am able to work, both individually with family members and in family therapy, to support change and growth for the entire family.

Every client and therapist pairing is different. Not every pairing will fit as well as others and the goal of every therapeutic relationship is for the therapist to act as a competent and supportive guide in navigating each client's map of unique challenges in life. I believe that the most important aspect of the relationship is the ability to be honest about the process--what works will differ for everyone. I aim to tailor treatment to each client so that he or she leaves the office feeling heard, understood and confident about the therapeutic journey.

I am a psychologist and yoga instructor. I work with the full range of mental health concerns through outpatient therapy with adults, children, and adolescents, as well as families, couples, and groups. I have strong interests in the connection between mind-body-spirit, in the promotion of well-being, in stress-related concerns, and in complementary approaches to healing. In addition to my therapy practice, I am the co-clinical director of the Philadelphia chapter of A Home Within and a board member and past-president of the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work.
