I am a licensed, independent mental health practitioner specializing in child and adolescent therapy. I am also a licensed alcohol and drug counselor trained to complete juvenile drug and alcohol evaluations. I have worked with at-risk youth for over a decade and have a great deal of knowledge in navigating the juvenile justice system.
I am a registered play therapist-supervisor (RPT-S). I am passionate about the area of play therapy. Play is the language of children and aids in their communication and ability to work through difficult situations and feelings. I’m also certified as an EMDR therapist. EMDR is utilized with trauma recovery and can be useful in treating depression.
I start where the client and the family are in life's journey. I work to provide education and understanding even in the most stressful times. It is my goal to work as a partnership and provide guidance and assistance along your therapy path.
