I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Play Therapy, International Association of Addictions & Offender Counselors, Association of Missouri Mediators and the Professional Mediation Association. I counsel all populations from ages 3 to 81 and employ an integrated modality approach. My practice includes child therapy, couples & relationship counseling, family counseling and individual counseling. I am also certified in Prepare/Enrich, a marital and premarital counseling course.

Hello...I am mature, compassionate, caring, experienced, and have the ability to truly listen and respond to clients' concerns. I love doing therapy, and work equally well with children and adults. I provide in-home therapy as well as in office, and am a Missouri Medicaid Provider, so therapy for kids ages 3-21 has no copay. I personally have found therapy to be invaluable in getting through the tough times in life, and is nothing to feel ashamed of. Whatever issues you or your family may be having, I would love to help you.

I am ready to start your journey together. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2018. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults. I use a person-centered approach that facilitates healing through providing empathetic support while walking beside you through your journey of hope and healing. Together we explore how your past is affecting your present. I have many years of experience working with youth in foster care and/or who have been adopted. I enjoy working with all ages and stages.

We are Christian centered and use a variety of research-based therapeutic methods of counseling to find what works best for our clients. I believe therapy should be started with the end in mind, so our goal is to bring about peace and balance in a timely manner.

I look forward to working with clients whose life path may have created difficulties for them that has led them not be the best of who they can be. Each individual's path may have been sprinkled with physical or emotional abuse, neglect, assault, grief and loss, domestic violence, marital or parental discord or a myriad of other situations. Sometimes these life paths create in my clients a feeling of hopeless and loss of self-worth, sometimes these path end with someone needing to determine a plan to leave an unsafe living situation. Sometimes these paths lead to turning to substances and illegal drugs to cope with the internal turmoil and pain. It is my privlege to work with clients to help them identify and bring forth the best of who they are and what they want for their life, their family and their future through their own individual strengths.

Emerge Counseling Ministries accepts clients 12 yrs and older in the state of Ohio and Missouri (telehealth only in MO). We help those in need of marriage, couples, families or individual counseling. We help clients deal with many different mental health conditions from relationship and school-related issues to more specialized mental health issues. Life is full of challenging times and transitions and I understand how vital compassion and support can be when struggling through these challenges. I have spent time working with foster, adopted, and troubled youth in residential treatment, rehousing programs, and case management. I am passionate about enhancing healthy coping, communication, and attachment skills while fostering a safe environment for individuals and families to process grief, trauma, loss, and day to day struggles. I work with all ages but especially love helping children and youth affected by foster care and adoption.

I am passionate about walking alongside families and individuals as they work through trauma, grief and loss, family transitions, parenting struggles, and other difficulties in their lives. I have extensive training in grief and loss, family therapy, trauma, attachment, and play therapy. I have completed a National Adoption Mental Health Training. I also research the ambiguous loss theory to improve my client's lives and the field as a whole.
