Family dynamics are often complicated and difficult. While we often find comfort and stability within our family, it is all too common to experience problems that we’re just not quite prepared to address. Parents may feel unsure of themselves or overwhelmed by increasing demands on their time and attention. Children and teens may struggle to feel they can open up with their parents for several reasons. Communication breaks down and the family that once felt so close knit is starting to drift apart. While we know we need help, it can be difficult to take that first step and reach out.
As a counselor and former educator of 15 years, I am uniquely prepared to address these concerns. With nearly 20 years of experience working with children and a counseling focus on working within family systems, I work with youth and parents alike to help find solutions and foster healthier relationships within the family dynamics.
Utilizing trauma informed practices and an empathetic ear, I enjoy coming alongside others when they feel stuck or hopeless and helping them discover a more satisfying life.
