Often life throws us curve balls that prevent us from seeing ourselves, or a situation, clearly. This can be especially painful for children and adolescents. If you suspect your child needs professional help, you are probably right! I can teach your child tools to help them navigate the difficulties of life. Just because someone is young does not mean they aren't experiencing depression or anxiety, and there are solutions! I also have extensive experience in dealing with grief and/or trauma issues with children ages 3 - 18, as well as with adults.
I don’t believe in cookie-cutter methods, not everybody's grief, anxiety, depression or any other issue is the same. I use a variety of techniques and therapeutic interventions to address individual issues and concerns. Listening is certainly crucial, but therapy should be interactive. Action is needed to help someone get “unstuck".
