Child and family therapy is a valuable tool to have and times are challenging for children, teens and their families. I love my job! After over 24 years in the field, I am retiring May 31, 2024. Clients may schedule check in and closure sessions through the end of May. We will consider what was helpful for you and what your future plans are to meet your needs. I can offer two or three names of Therapists who may be a good fit, if you want to continue counseling.
Training and experience in Somatic Psychotherapy under Peter Levine and Kathy Kain set the foundation for me. I found Therapeutic Play , Filial Therapy, and Theraplay rich additions to my practice. Currently, I Assist in SEP trainings in AK. I also offered Mindfulness Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Self Compassion and Conflict Resolution.
All people experience times of sorrow and joy. We have never had more challenging times for families. I am a parent of three adult children, an adoptive parent and past foster parent. I can offer names of local Therapists with similar training and experience for clients who want to continue therapy for themselves or their child or teen.
