People come to see me when they feel stuck and have had enough. I help parents help their children; help couples and families get closer and happier; and in general help people successfully resolve issues such as: stress, anxiety, adjustment to new life circumstances (relocation, family changes), relationship issues (divorce, extra-marital affairs, conflict), and dealing with difficult family members. Typical 50 minute sessions don't work for everyone, so I offer longer sessions when appropriate (up to 4 hours), where we use experiential techniques (meditation, sound, movement, Ketamine) to go deeper and facilitate transformation.
Along with talk therapy I provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). During KAP the client takes oral Ketamine (a prescription medication) during the extended psychotherapy session. KAP accelerates the therapy process by helping people examine themselves with less internal criticism. KAP can be an adjunct to psychotherapy with me or another tx.
My work is both holistic and systemic: the whole person and their environment (family, work, community). The work we do is not just about understanding, it is mostly about feeling and experiencing oneself differently - letting go of long standing patterns of self-criticism and shame, developing the capacity to love, and accepting the love from others.
